My bro just got an iphone 4 Feb 3rd to be exact and has been playing angry bird...lol haha ah well the things you can do now with a phone...its amazing. taking photos that have different camera lens, videos..etc.. I'll probably look back 5-10years from now and read this post and think (pshh iphone4 is like so outdated and be thinking to myself why did I ever think it was such a cool gadged.)
I've got to admit that in SG, wireless is just so available. I don't even think that the USA or other countries can be as super efficient...as of now. Its almost hard to live without the internet.. People can be online 24/7 talking to people from all over the world. Now that there's the wassup application...frens have been using that instead of sms-es, skype instead of this and that...writing snail mails will reallybe a fading tradition. Ppl who have smart phones can check their emails and send them while they are walking. Changing appointments while that are still in a meeting or yea its just crazy!
Well I have a relatively smart-ish phone but I cant get online coz the keypad on my HTC touch 2 is just too small for me to do anything on the internet. So i just use it for calling and sms-ing. But being in that position. I've noticed, that most people who has a bb or an iphone tends to look at their phone like a zillion times a day. I think if i were to document it and make it into some interesting info graphics it would be epic. But seriously..that's how we are so connected to the internet that we can't get our eyes off it.
Even when we're like in a meeting one on one with a friend..our eye contact wont last a min without checking our phones. I encountered that...several times.. where I felt like the person whom I was meeting couldn't be bothered with my presence coz the phone which consists of many many ppl was worth her/his time. I felt that maybe there's really no point meeting a person face to face when all you can get is a blink of that person's attention..and just a person that doesn't acknowledge your existence.
If I become too attached to the things online, I think I really need to do some thinking. Even for me to rely on this blog to keep all these info about my life. Facebook to give me space to upload tons of photos.. I wonder what will happen if one day it all disappeared out of my life. I guess eventually one day it will. My time here on earth is not long. Yet here I am trying to spend all my time on it on things that are temporary. =_=
I think God feels the same too:( we're trading Him for more time spent else where...He's prob saying "Hellooo there...why aren't you talking to me when I'm right here" :( Gotta seriously go and reflect and rethink how I choose to spend my time.
